Claim To Fame:
A major claim to fame and a blessing in retrospect, was my being diagnosed with Breast Cancer as an undergraduate student. The notification came some weeks before my 22nd birthday. Initially, it shook me and faith, but I had roomate, that believed along with me, that God would heal me and He did. As a result I was able to use my experience, to educate other Afrian-American women at my college and surrounding others about the REALITY of cancer. That it is a livable disease, and that it knows no color or age. I'm proud to say that I'm a Breast Cancer Survivor!
Most Memorable Moment:
One of those "almost doesn't count" moments. I was the 1st Alternate to Miss JSU. I lost by 47 votes!
Experience
I currently work with Jackson Public School District as Early Learning Coach
I have 6 years of experience working in the Teaching / K-12 Education industry.

Hi Soror. It is great to know that you are a survivor. We were all praying for you during that time. I am happy that you are sharing your story with others--because we all know that you are a survivor! I was 2nd Alt to Miss JSU.
