With the innate ability to enhance business-to-business relationships through critical thinking and resilient execution, Joey brings ten years of experience in creating objective-based initiatives for company business models with a results-driven focus. Joey has produced bottom-line results through strategic marketing and industry best practices and demonstrates ingenuity and resourcefulness by providing quality deliverables that align with company strategic business objectives.
Joey is a 2004 graduate of Morehouse College where he received a BA in Business Administration and served as President of the Class of 2004. Post graduation, Joey worked for Deloitte Consulting, LLC as a Human Capital Consultant in the area of Organization and People Performance. After deciding to leave Deloitte in pursuit of higher education, Joey worked for The Richmond Group, LLC, an experiential marketing firm, as a Project Manager and Marketing Strategist. At The Richmond Group, Joey proposed and implemented modern concepts for business partnerships to accomplish campaign objectives and reach the clients’ target demographic. Joey also negotiated and secured partnerships with notable musical talent and celebrity luminaries for client promotional tours. While serving as Project Manager, Joey lead brand ambassadors and staff to achieve clients’ purposed vision for promotional campaigns. As an integral part of his role, Joey negotiated contracts, managed activations, and co-wrote copy for POS materials, integrated advertising campaigns, and promotional affairs for the following clients: BMW Corporation, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Bermuda Department of Tourism, McDonald’s Corporation, Bombay Sapphire, Grey Goose, Courvoisier, Atlantic Records, Def Jam Records, and Uptown Magazine, HBO Film Festival, and Essence Music Festival.
After receiving his Master of Business Administration and Master of Information Science degrees from North Carolina Central University, Joey joined Merge Consumer Marketing as an Account Executive, bringing a diverse and unique set of experiences and thought from the marketing, experiential, and consulting industries. Joey’s clients at Merge included: TV One, TNT, TBS, and the National Black MBA Association.
Prior to founding FRSH GDS CRE8TIV and partnering with H. Creative Group, Joey worked for commonground Marketing in Chicago, IL as a Sr. Account Executive where he managed strategic marketing objectives, client services and the daily procurement of creative assets. While at commonground Joey worked with the following brands: Coca-Cola, Sprite, Sprite Zero, Fanta, Powerade, MillerCoors, and The Illinois Lottery.
