Current Whereabouts:

I finished my last year of teaching at an alternative high school and I graduated from Grad School at Columbia College in Chicago. I will probably be in your town soon, so check the website for upcoming events and my tour schedule.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

I would like to make my art my full time job. Once I've figured that out, I would like to teach young people to do the same.

Claim To Fame:

My claim to fame would have to be my poetry, acting, my peaceful spirit, and my love for my community. My first book of poetry First Person came out Feb 2006 and my Second book Raw Sugar will be released in October of 2008 (Inshallah- God willing).

Most Memorable Moment:

Time spent with my family, my sorors (Oo-oop), the bruz and my friends. Oh yeah, I'll never forget the long lines for financial aid, or the food in "The Village". Last but not least, spending time on "The Hill" (may it rest in peace).
