Current Whereabouts:

Currently I am enjoying my summer. This friday I leave to go to freshman orientation and I can't wait. I am excited about my transition into womanhood and meeting my sisters. It's hard to believe that I'm this old.

Undergrad Major: Electrical Engineering

Claim To Fame:

I haven't begun school yet but, i have attended a summer program for dual degree engineering students like myself. During the program my "Claim to Fame" was my humor. Commedy was a means or breakin the ice and developing long lasting relationships with my fellow Spelman sisters. In the fall I intend for my "claim to fame" to be bringing a luminent personality, and artistic innovation to the field of engineering, as well as being a positive influence on my community. After college I would like to continue work with the community and begin my own program to encourage other young women to pursue carrers in STEM. (Science Technology Mathematics Engineering) I hope to one day be in Jet Magazine for my accomplishments and demonstrate how HBCU's are worth attending.

Most Memorable Moment:

So far the most memorable person I encountered in college was the director of the summer program I attended, Mr. S. Jermaine Duffie. Mr. duffie was very motivating with his words and helped me gain a better understanding of how to coop with college life. He bestowed his wisdom upon me everyday and concerned himself with the success of not only me but, all of the program participants. Mr. Duffie was extremely passionate about his work and loved witnessing us progress. He is a great asset to Spelman College as well as the black community.
