Claim To Fame:

Because I participated in athletics for four years, I ranked number three in the nation in interceptions with eight as well as ranked second in school history in career interceptions with 26. Therefore, I was selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League to explore the possibilities of a professional career in athletics.

Most Memorable Moment:

Since Bowie State University lost thirty-two games straight from 1983-1986 tied with Yale University, Bowie State University had a reputation for losing. Moreover, our players, team and coaches did'nt accept the fact that 30 or so games had been lost, we stopped the streak against Cheyney State University on September 17, 1988. Therefore, we helped change the image of the school and athletic program at the University, Prince George's county, state or Maryland, and around the nation. Because of our 9-2-1 record in 1988, our team earned an opportunity to compete in the play-offs in Portland, Oregon against Portland State University, highlighted on BET, NBC, HTS, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, Washington Post, Washington Times etc. Unfortunately, we lost, but the experience was more than we could ask for and a much memorable one. In addition to this, Bowie State University won the CIAA championship in 1989 against Winston Salem Rams. Currently the Head football coach Henry Fraizer, former Captain and quarterback at Bowie State University 86-89 is leading his team to another CIAA Division II Championship and other players and coaches from this team are excelling as well in there chosen fields and professions.
