I was born and raised in New York City and was exposed to a culture rich in diversity. I moved to Englewood, NJ about 5 miles from NYC, a much smaller communtiy also rich in diversity.

I'm the single mother of a grown son and the "pretend" mother to 3 beautiful nieces (the daughters I never had).

I was a secretary, administrative assistant, office manager, and word processor for various business industries: Columbia Univ. (8 years), Fordham Univ. (2 years), AIG (11 years); Babcock and Brown (2 years), Weil Gotshal & Manges (4 years). I decided to change careers and received my bachelors (at 48) and masters (at 49) in Finance and Accounting from AIU-Online. I worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor, but was laid off after 10 months after the onset of the souring economy.
