After completing law school, I practiced for 3 years, but Jack couldn't keep a job (military officer), so we kept moving. Finally, tired of taking bar exams, I began writing narrative cookbooks about HBCU's. My first book was the African-Heritage Cookbook, which is about Tuskegee. My second book is At Freedom's Table, More Than 200 Year's of Recipes From Military Wives. My third book, is titled, A Taste of Freedom: A Cookbook From The Hampton University. Celebrating Our Equality a Cookbook of Recipes and Remembrances From Howard University was released this November. And I am in the middle of writing the proposal for my fifth book, which will feature another HBCU
Most Memorable Moment:
Marrying my huband, J.R.
