Claim To Fame:

Having the commitment, courage and desire to empower and improve the lives of African-American women and uplift my community. To improve the conditions of the underserved in my community and help do my part to eradicate poverty on a grassroots level. To change policy to make company's realize that inclusion and true diversity is essential to success in the workplace. To be a change agent and to that end utilize my skill set be about the business of "being the change I would like to see within my community" and living the creed: "Service is the rent we pay for living"-Marian Wright Edelman
Most Memorable Moment:
When Prof Worts came into class and he was SO ANGRY!! He was fed up with our class and started ranting about how people were misspelling his name!!! That was CLASSIC. Secondly, riding on the van Yolanda & I had some great fun and we laughed until our stomaches hurt!! PRICELESS. I wouldn't trade those times for anything. Sitting in Dr. Price's class laughing at everyone and in Dr. Bonner's class where all the women "swooning" over him. But the best must have been field class and how we became the "infamous duo" because we took a stand and didn't back down. We stood up for what we believed was right and got villified for it but its all good we all got through it. Dr. Hogan and her "quick wit" that she is so famous for and her infamous "one liners" to the class is great. I luv it!!! I wouldn't have gone ANYWHERE BUT to an HBCU and I am SO glad that I did!!
