I am originally from Pensacola, Florida although I attended high school in Tallahassee. I graduated from Howard in 2003 with a BS in Clinical Lab Science. I returned shortly thereafter to enroll in the new MPH degree program. I graduated again from Howard in 2005 with a Master of Public Health degree. I worked for the university for 6 months before moving to Atlanta. I served a brief stint with the Geaorgia Department of Community Health before arriving at the CDC.

1. Published Articles 2. Won the Atlanta Federal Executive Board "Employee of the Year "Best Team" award in 2013 3. Have worked with my team to develop the first population-based surveillance of SCD in the country called the RuSH project. 4. Currently the Blood Safety Lead for the Division of Blood Disorders. 5. Won the National Center for Environmental Health Award for Addressing Health Disparities in 2007 for my work on a project in the Navajo Nation.
