Danielle T. Duncan (Class of 2008, Benedict College – Mass Communication) is a customer support and financial services professional with 5+ years of experience in banking, mortgage operations, and client success. She recently expanded into healthcare operations with certifications in Medical Billing, Coding Basics, and Medical Office Administration (2025). Danielle is also the founder of Black Velvet Growth, a personal development brand helping women shift from survival mode to alignment and soft power. She is preparing to relocate to Greenville, SC, to further her career in healthcare and MedTech while growing her entrepreneurial impact.
Current Whereabouts:
I am Danielle T. Duncan — a dynamic speaker, spoken word artist, author, and life coach with more than two decades of experience inspiring audiences through storytelling. By age 21, I had already earned multiple poetry awards, establishing myself as a powerful voice in the spoken word community.
In 2021, I expanded my platform into motivational speaking and coaching, centering my work on women’s empowerment and life reinvention. Through my brand, Black Velvet Growth Coaching, I help high-achieving Black women, single mothers, and creatives reclaim their voice, set healthy boundaries, and embrace a lifestyle of alignment, clarity, and purpose.
I’ve delivered keynotes and workshops at events such as the Black Speakers Network Marketing & Sales Success Summit and the Leading Change Women’s Leadership Conference, and I’ve been featured on podcasts including Light the Path and Crown Level Confidence. My latest book, Conquer Your Fear: A Soft Life Edition, continues my mission by offering women tools, reflections, and guidance to release fear and step into their full potential.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My career goal is to build at the intersection of healthcare operations, customer support, and technology — with a strong focus on cybersecurity, compliance, and client success. I am actively seeking remote opportunities in healthcare, MedTech, or security operations where I can apply my skills in compliance, data analysis, incident response, and client relations to improve systems and organizational excellence.
At the same time, I remain committed to expanding Black Velvet Growth Coaching into a leading voice for high-achieving Black women, single mothers, and creatives — providing transformational coaching, digital resources, and storytelling that help women shift from survival mode into thriving.
Ultimately, my vision is to merge my corporate expertise with my entrepreneurial work, creating a life rooted in financial independence, community impact, and authentic relationships — while continuing to write, speak, and coach women across the world.
