J. Goosby Smith, an experienced workplace inclusion and diversity scholar, practitioner, and speaker, is co-author with Josie B. Lindsay, of the book, Beyond Inclusion: Workplace interconnectedness, energy, and resilience in organizations (2014, Palgrave Macmillan) and many scholarly research articles and presentations. Informed by over 25 years of technological and organizational development consulting, this fall Smith joins the faculty at The Citadel in Charleston, SC as an Associate Professor of Management. Previously serving on the full-time faculties of Pepperdine, California State (Channel Islands), and Butler Universities, Smith holds a B.S. from Spelman College (Computer Science) with M.B.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Case Western Reserve University (Organizational Behavior). A native of Gary, IN, Smith is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the UNCF's Los Angeles Inter Alumni Council.
