About   (request update)
I am currently an undergraduate student attending East Stroudsburg University (ESU) in Pennsylvania. I am studying rehabilitate and human services with a GPA of 3.98, earning Dean's list every semester. During the summers I am employed at CIU20 as a paraprofessional in an autistic support classroom.
I love and enjoy learning and participating in school. Recently, in December of 2021, I was diagnosed with OCD and ASD. I was never truly aware of having such diagnoses, but have always felt that my learning style and perspective of life was different than my peers. My diagnosis has helped me understand myself better and how I approach my academics, relationships, and those who I impact with my field of human services.
Current Whereabouts:
I am currently into art, drawing, going on walks, education, reading, and learning about human services/ rehabilitation. I love working with people who have disabilities and or mental illness. I like being a part of a classroom as an educator and as a student.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
After graduation, I hope to be an occupational therapist helping those in need with disabilities. I want to advocate for those with mental illness and intellectual or developmental disabilities, and build a safer community for those in need. My major has taught me that diversity makes communities stronger- and with proper accommodations, resources, and assistance, those who are disabled or have different forms of external forces impacting their life, can feel more purposeful and impactful.

Claim To Fame:
Special Olympics Participation/ Volunteer CILLS Volunteer RSSO (Rehabilitative Student Services Organization) Dean's list every semester participation in the GSA Club Student-teaching Paraprofessional/ Teacher assistant at CIU20 from 2021-present College has been the most self-redeeming three years of life I have experienced. I have met amazing people and experienced wonderful education and relationships in teaching, assistant teaching, and being a student at ESU.
Most Memorable Moment:
In college, I student-taught a pre-school age classroom. This teaching experience furthered my desire to work with children and or adults with disabilities. I worked with, aside of teaching an entire class, two students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. I made connections with the students and overall implemented ways of educating that were effective and allowed the students to excel. The student-teaching experience gave me an inclining that working with people who have disabilities is meant for me. I enjoy seeing them thrive and "beat the odds" or even stereotypes that people, society, and even some educators place on students.
