*As a freshman, met all of the A&T Four (4) of the Greensboro Sit-In movement (including Lewis Brandon-coordinator), late community activists/elected officials- Commissioner Carolyn Q. Coleman, NC Rep Herman C. Gist Sr (both became mentors). Also, Rep Alma Adams, Skip Alston, Sen. Bill Martin, Earl Jones, et al #Interned with US Sen. Terry Sanford (NC) & US Rep. Also, Rep Alma Adams, Skip Alston -Coordinator for bus for A&T & to NC General Assembly for 1st Black Speaker Dan Blue (Black College Day, -Met/talked with: Dizzy Gillespie, Alex Haley, Jesse Jackson Sr, Congressman Edolphus Towns, Steve Coakley, Morgan Freeman, Debbi Morgan, India Irie, Tupac, TLC, and many more -Introduced 1) Juan Williams (keynote speaker for forum & visit by 1st AfrAm NC Speaker of House Dan Blue, 2) Joe L. Dudley Sr (forum for all of AHBAI--Black-owned cosmetics companies in the USA and abroad, "The Proud Lady" symbol)
