Current Whereabouts:
Full-Time Student
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I have been riding, grooming and caring for horses since I was seven years old. As I became older, during the summer months I would assist with horseback riding lessons for children under the age of twelve. I also worked as a ranch-hand, grooming, feeding and caring for horses. In 2018, I became a member of the 2By2 Riding Club, the purpose of our organization is to promote sportsmanship, fellowship, and maintain a suitable place for club horsemanship activities. I have also participated in annual parades, rodeos and trail-rides. Horseback riding reduces stress, builds confidence, and allows you to relax from life's stressors and enjoy fresh air and being outdoors. Horses are amazing animals, not only for their grace and beauty but also for their profound ability to connect with humans on an emotional and psychological level. My exposure and experiences with horses has impacted my career goal to become a psychologist using equine therapy. Equine therapy is unique, effective and beneficial in promoting mental, spiritual and physical health. Activities and interaction with horses has been known to have therapeutic benefits directly helping with many emotional and mental health conditions. Developing techniques to help promote positive thinking, lowering depression and reducing stress. Mental strength and health allow us to think, feel and perform with confidence and create an optimistic outlook on life challenges and hardships. Our mental health and strength are just as important as our physical health and strength.
