Dr. Martin taught at Huston-Tillotson University for 50 years, (1973-2023) longer than any professor, receiving numerous teaching awards. She received a Doctorate in Humane Letters from HT upon my retirement in 2023. Dr. Martin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Texas, providing therapy to youth and adults while using her interpersonal skills with students during her teaching career. During my 50 years at Huston-Tillotson I taught, was Chairperson of the Social Science Division (16 yrs.) and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (3.5 yrs.). I was a student-centered professor and used the servant leader model for my colleagues when I was an administrator. Note: 1973 is not provided as a start date.
