Claim To Fame:

My claim to fame in college was rooted in my dedication to leadership and service within my campus community. I joined the National Society of Black Women in Medicine early on, drawn to its mission of uplifting Black women pursuing careers in healthcare. Through hard work and passion, I earned a position on the Executive Board as the Community Director, where I organized outreach events and strengthened our organization�s presence both on and off campus. I also became a proud member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, which recognized my commitment to academic excellence and leadership potential. In addition, I successfully completed the Freshman Peer Mentee Program, which helped me build strong mentorship connections and laid the foundation for my future involvement. These experiences made me a familiar face on campus, especially among students pursuing health-related fields and those looking for leadership opportunities. By the time I graduated, I had built a reputation for being a driven, community-focused leader who was always ready to serve and support others.

Most Memorable Moment:

My most memorable college experience was adjusting to a new environment where I was finally surrounded by people who looked like me. Coming from a predominantly white community, it was a major shift to attend a school where the students, faculty, and administration were all Black. That change was both eye-opening and comforting�it felt like coming home to a place I didn�t know I needed. The energy on campus was different; there was a sense of unity, pride, and shared purpose that I had never experienced before. The professors and staff didn�t just teach�they poured into us, encouraged us, and made it clear that they genuinely cared about our success and future. Being in an environment where I felt seen, valued, and understood helped me grow not only academically but also personally. That experience shaped my confidence and deepened my appreciation for the power of community and representation.
