Nia Randolph is a dedicated Public Health scholar at North Carolina Central University with experience in healthcare, retail, and student leadership. She currently works in Patient Services at Duke Hospital, ensuring patients receive proper nutrition and support. As a former Resident Assistant and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Nia brings strong communication, service, and leadership skills to every role. Her goal is to become a hospital administrator, combining hands-on experience with a passion for health equity and community impact.

Current Whereabouts:

Lately, I’ve been diving back into reading and getting hooked on binge-watching Netflix shows. I'm on this little adventure trying all kinds of new foods as well.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

My ultimate career goal is to become a hospital administrator who leads efforts to improve patient care, support healthcare staff, and enhance overall hospital operations. To gain a solid foundation in clinical settings, I plan to earn a Master’s degree in Nursing, which will provide me with valuable hands-on experience in hospital environments. This clinical insight will be essential in making well-informed administrative decisions that prioritize both patient outcomes and staff well-being. Afterward, I intend to pursue a PhD in healthcare administration to deepen my knowledge of strategic planning, policy development, and leadership within complex healthcare systems. I am passionate about creating a healthcare environment that is more equitable and accessible, especially for underserved populations who face significant barriers to quality care. As a first-generation college student, I carry the responsibility and motivation of being the first in my family to break barriers and achieve this level of education and professional success. My goal is not only to uplift myself but also to pave the way and provide support for my family and community. I want to be the one who helps others rise by offering opportunities, guidance, and resources that I’ve worked hard to attain. By combining clinical experience, advanced leadership training, and a deep commitment to equity, I aspire to be a compassionate and effective hospital administrator who drives meaningful change and leaves a lasting impact on the healthcare system.
