Most Memorable Moment:
College gave me some of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. One of the biggest highlights was getting accepted into the UCLA CDU SHPEP program. Being in a space full of future healthcare leaders who looked like me reminded me that I truly belong in dentistry. It pushed me to grow both professionally and personally, and it confirmed that becoming an orthodontist is more than just a goal. It is my purpose. Another major part of my journey was being on the FAMU Elite Dance Squad. From our very first performance to the long practices leading up to Homecoming, dancing taught me dedication, time management, and how to show up with confidence. It gave me an outlet to express myself and connect with my school community in a powerful way. Balancing that with my chemistry classes and research was not always easy, but it made every success feel even more rewarding. Outside of academics and dance, I found purpose in uplifting others whether through doing hair, mentoring younger students, or leading workshops like the Glow Up Shark Tank. As a first generation college student and the oldest sister, I naturally stepped into a leadership role that I am proud of. These moments, big and small, helped shape me into the woman I am today and I will carry them with me forever.
