Claim To Fame:
My claim to fame in college is being someone who consistently pours into others—whether it’s through mentoring, organizing, or simply showing up when it matters. I’ve become known for being the friend, peer, or classmate who’s always ready to lend a hand or uplift someone else. I’ve led spring cleaning and revitalization efforts for local women’s shelters, volunteered wherever I’m needed, and spent time mentoring younger students and incoming freshmen. For me, it’s about making people feel supported, seen, and capable of more, and less about the opposite. I take pride in being someone who gives without needing credit, because I truly believe that real impact happens through consistency, heart, and service.
Most Memorable Moment:
One of the most memorable moments of my college experience so far was participating in Howard’s Alternative Spring Break in Tampa, Florida. That week changed something in me. It was the first time I truly saw how much impact a group of students could have just by showing up with open hearts and a willingness to serve. We spent the week cleaning beaches, volunteering at shelters, and speaking with young students in local schools. What stood out to me the most wasn’t just the work we did—it was the way we connected with people. I saw how a simple conversation, a smile, or even a helping hand could shift someone’s day. It reminded me that leadership doesn’t always have to be loud or in the spotlight. Sometimes it’s quiet, consistent, and rooted in compassion. That trip taught me how important it is to be present and intentional. I realized that I’m someone who finds purpose in uplifting others, even in the smallest ways. I left Tampa more grounded, more reflective, and more committed to living a life that’s bigger than myself; a reminder that who I am when no one’s watching is what really matters.
