Claim To Fame:
My claim to fame in college is my commitment to involvement, leadership, and service. Through my two organizations that I was inducted into, I became known as someone who consistently showed up to support events, community service initiatives, and sisterhood activities. Whether it was participating in volunteering , or encouraging my peers, I made it a priority to contribute in meaningful ways. In addition to my campus involvement, I take pride in being recognized for my dedication and commitment to academic and professional growth. Being selected for opportunities that support leadership development and community engagement has motivated me to continue striving for excellence.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college moment was the Freshman Pinning Ceremony. Although I was filled with so much joy, I was nervous because I couldn't believe I left home for college and now I was attending Thee Howard University. It was such as special welcoming as we walked through the line with parents, upperclassmen, professors, alumni on the outside. At this point I knew I had chosen the right school. Hearing the speeches that praised Howard sunk into my mind and my heart because one day this would be me. While being pinned and repeating to myself a poem that was made for us, I felt at home, and a sense of community. This memory has been held close to my heart since it happened because it reminds me that Howard is home and the place that will shape me into who I am in the future as I achieve goals that I have set out.
