Current Whereabouts:
I’m a proud North Carolinian and City of Durham employee, returning to NCCU after 25 years to finish what I started. As a single mom, heart attack survivor, and women’s health advocate, resilience has shaped my journey. I’m passionate about giving back, lifting others up, and leaving a legacy of service and strength.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My greatest aspiration is to live a life that reflects God’s purpose for me. I strive to walk in faith while continuing to grow personally and professionally, using the lessons from my journey to encourage and uplift others. In my career, I hope to expand my impact in public service, building on my work with the City of Durham to create opportunities that bring healing, equity, and lasting change to the community. More than anything, I want my life’s work to glorify God and leave a legacy of hope and strength for those who come after me

I had a secret baby that my dormmates helped me hide, for a little while anyway!
Most Memorable Moment:
Winning several awards with my classmates at the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality national student conference in Miami. We won something like 8 out of 12 categories. By the end of the awards ceremony, they were tired of hearing "The award goes to N-C-C-U"!!
