Claim To Fame:

My claim to fame in college will be being known as a young woman who never gave up on her dreams no matter what was stacked against her. I want people to remember me as the girl who came from a single-parent home, with a disabled father, but still made a way through hard work, faith, and determination. I want to be the one who carries myself with confidence and shows others that being Black and educated is powerful. At Alabama A&M, I plan to stand out not just for what I achieve in the classroom, but also for the way I give back and encourage others. My claim to fame will be inspiring people around me to chase success even when it feels impossible. I want people to look at me and say, “That’s Mariah Graham she made it, and she never let her circumstances define her.” That will be my legacy on campus and beyond.

Most Memorable Moment:

One of my most memorable college moments so far has been going to homecoming at Alabama A&M. I have been attending since I was a child, but being there as a student feels completely different. The energy, the band, the alumni coming back home, and the Bulldog pride all around the campus is something I will never forget. It showed me that being a Bulldog is not just about going to school, it’s about being part of a lifelong family. Another memorable moment for me is moving into my apartment off campus. Setting up my space and knowing this was the start of my own independence made me feel proud. It reminded me how far I have come and how many sacrifices my family made to get me here. These moments mean a lot because they are not just memories, they are stepping stones to the future I always dreamed of.
