Ms. Eujon S. Hughes, M.Ed., is a Certified Life Coach, published author, entrepreneur, and community advocate dedicated to empowering others through transformation and purpose. With a background in education, counseling, and special education, she combines professional expertise with lived experience to guide individuals toward growth and success. She is the Founder and CEO of Bridging the Gap Life Coaching and Transformation Academy, LLC, and Bridging For Change Foundation, Inc. and leads multiple initiatives supporting survivors, entrepreneurs, and students. A 2025 Woman of Excellence honoree and Top 58 Bearkats in Business recipient, Ms. Hughes is driven by faith, resilience, and a commitment to helping others overcome obstacles and achieve their fullest potential.
Current Whereabouts:
I am currently focused on counseling and empowering individuals while helping fellow entrepreneurs grow and expand their business reach. I remain actively engaged in service at both the local and national levels alongside my sorority sisters, embodying the mission of #ServiceToAllMankind. Through my 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, I am committed to giving back and uplifting underserved communities. I also value spending quality time with my teenage daughter as she prepares for college, while intentionally modeling entrepreneurship, generational wealth, and legacy-building. Additionally, I prioritize collaboration and networking to foster continuous personal, spiritual, and professional growth, while also making time to practice my own self-care routines when I can.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My life and professional aspirations are centered on building a legacy of transformation, empowerment, and generational impact. I envision expanding my influence as a life coach, entrepreneur, and community leader to reach individuals and communities on a broader scale, equipping them with the tools to overcome barriers and create sustainable success. Through my businesses and nonprofit initiatives, I aim to cultivate spaces that inspire growth, healing, and opportunity. I am committed to building generational wealth, deepening my spiritual foundation, and modeling purpose-driven leadership that will positively impact future generations.
During my undergraduate tenure at Southern University and A&M College, I maintained consistent academic distinction by earning Dean’s List honors each semester. My experience extended well beyond academics, as I cultivated enduring relationships with fellow Jaguars that have remained instrumental throughout my professional journey. As a proud alumna, I continue to actively support the Southern University legacy through engagement with the Houston, Texas Alumni Association Chapter, where I serve as a dedicated advocate and recruiter. My time at Southern not only strengthened my academic and professional foundation, but also deepened my cultural awareness and solidified my identity as a woman committed to excellence, leadership, and service.
Further advancing my education, I earned my Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Sam Houston State University as a nontraditional student. Returning to graduate study as an older adult required resilience, discipline, and a renewed commitment to lifelong learning. This experience enhanced my professional perspective, strengthened my ability to connect across diverse populations, and reinforced my dedication to empowering others through guidance, mentorship, and educational leadership.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college moments were the completion of two defining chapters in my educational journey—graduation day for both my undergraduate degree from Southern University and A&M College and my master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. Each milestone represented not only academic achievement, but perseverance, growth, and purpose. These moments stand as proud reminders of my commitment to excellence and the transformative power of education across every stage of life.

We help them develop safety plans and empower entrepreneurs to start businesses that can enhance the local economy. Additionally, we offer scholarships for deserving HBCU students and provide resources for struggling single mothers, assisting them in achieving stability and independence to create brighter futures for themselves and their children.
