Ernest currently attends St. Philip’s College and is enrolled in their Bachelor of Applied Technology in Cybersecurity program. A 2025 HSF Scholar and multi-scholarship recipient, he has made the President's Honors List for three consecutive semesters. Ernest is an active member of the Cyber Tigers club and volunteers with local organizations including the San Antonio Food Bank and Parks & Recreation Trail Watch. With a focus on cybersecurity analysis and architecture, he is looking to to advance his career in national security and cyber defense.

Hello fellow HBCU Connect Member, Just wanted to send you a message to give you some words of encouragement because this world can be such a cold, cold place. Don't let the expectations and opinions of other people affect your decisions, because it's your life, not theirs. Live your life with intention. Walk to the edge with your head high and your back straight. Listen hard and soak in all of the useful information you can. Erase negative information from your mind. Practice wellness. Your health is important. Be aware of what you consume, because, you are what you eat. Play with abandon. Laugh every chance that you get. Laughter is good for the mind and soul, Appreciate your "true friends". You will find out that in life you will have many associates but very few "true friends". that will be unconditional and non judgemental through thick and thin. Never stop learning. The mind is a terrible thing to waste. Try to do what you love. Travel every time you get a chance because you never know who you might meet that could change your life. Live your best life and never allow yourself to be disrespected. Last, but not least, do the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do. Any wrong that you do will eventually come back to haunt you.
