About   (request update)
Nelson Alston is a developing engineering professional known for strong leadership, collaboration, and execution. He has led project teams at Accenture and Walter P. Moore, delivering client-focused presentations, coordinating cross-country and international teams, and guiding peers through complex technical tasks. His internships strengthened his capacity to manage workflows, communicate clearly, and support group performance. Nelson studies Applied Physics & Mechanical Engineering at Morehouse College, where he continues to build a record of initiative, reliability, and impact.
Current Whereabouts:
Right now, I’m focused on my dual degree mechanical engineering studies, where I spend a lot of time building strong problem solving and analytical skills through hands on coursework and team projects. I like breaking down complex systems, figuring out how and why things work, and applying structured thinking to real world problems. Alongside the technical side, I’m interested in how engineering connects to leadership, operations, and impact at a larger scale. I enjoy environments that value collaboration, precision, and learning, and I’m motivated by work that lets me apply what I’m learning beyond the classroom.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I want to build a career that combines technical knowledge, leadership, and real world impact. I’m driven by the idea of using engineering and analytical thinking to solve practical problems while growing into roles where I can lead teams and make thoughtful decisions. Long term, I see myself working in environments that challenge me to keep learning, take ownership of projects, and contribute to work that has a clear and meaningful impact. I’m motivated by growth, responsibility, and the opportunity to build something that lasts.

Education   (request update)
Morehouse College class of 2028
Undergrad Major: Mechanical Engineering
Claim To Fame:
I helped lead a fundraising event that brought in over $2.2 million for Morehouse, so I know exactly what high-pressure success looks like.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college moment has to be my new student orientation. The new student orientation has many age-old traditions that can be traced back to Africa and bonding with all my new brothers over that week is something I could never forget.
