Johnoy J. Davis is a communication scholar with a concentration in journalism at Edward Waters University and a native of Kingston, Jamaica. He serves as Vice President of the Student Government Association and President of the Edward Waters University Concert Choir. A high-achieving student, Johnoy maintains a 4.0 cumulative GPA and is a two-time recipient of the President’s Award as well as the Male Academic Excellence Award. As an emerging journalist, he is passionate about amplifying stories that are often overlooked, using media as a tool to elevate underrepresented voices. Outside the classroom, he enjoys writing, research, and music, and is a published gospel recording artist.
