Claim To Fame:

My Claim to fame would have to be how I present myself to my students and peers as the loud sports girl. In all my organizations, classes, and even among my professors, they know how much I love sports and that I want to be a sports sideline reporter as my future career goal. I'm the biggest NY Giants fan and an even bigger fan of the Texas Longhorns, and half the time in my sorority house or even at my friends' places, I'd turn the game on to see who's winning. It's not just football that has my heart; I love all the sports that UT Austin includes, including softball, women's basketball, volleyball, baseball, and even tennis. I make sure to keep track and attend different sports games not only for my enjoyment, but to immerse myself in the sports atmosphere. Everyone at school knows how proud I am to be majoring in Journalism because it's not seen for me as just a major, but a passion. I'm even more proud to be majoring in sports journalism because the field itself is a male-dominated field, but who says women can't know ball either? I want to inspire young Hispanic girls or just young girls in general, to love sports, and that you can truly do anything you set your mind to!I love being known at UT for being a sports girl because I wouldn't want it any other way.

Most Memorable Moment:

Most of my memorable moments in college would be football games; the atmosphere the SEC brings on a Saturday is like no other. Game day outfits, tailgates with friends, and the loud crowd cheering for one team. I wish that football season could last longer. I love going with my friends to games because they're just as loud and proud as I am. When you find the right crowd of people, you know that you don't have to be embarrassed about something you love. Football season brings people together, something about being in the same stadium, cheering, getting upset over a bad call, that's where some of my best memories lie!
