I currently work at Rent the Occasion in Lawrenceville, Ga. My primary responsibilities include loading and unloading event equipment for customers, cleaning and sanitizing returned inventory, organizing and maintaining the warehouse, performing heavy lifting, preparing and fulfilling customer orders, and providing excellent customer service. This position has strengthened my teamwork, communication, organization, problem-solving, and time management skills while teaching me the importance of efficiency and reliability in a fast-paced work environment. I have also volunteered in my community in Washington D.C, serving individuals experiencing hardship. Giving back to those in need is deeply important to me, and these experiences have strengthened my commitment to serving others.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

From a young age, my passion has always centered on serving others and making meaningful change. Witnessing the effects of poor nutrition in my community has motivated me to educate others and promote wellness, contributing to cancer prevention and long-term health. My academic goal is to thrive in Howard University�s Radiation Therapy Bachelor's Program, gaining hands-on clinical experience and patient-centered care skills that will prepare me to improve cancer outcomes for underserved communities. My vision for the future is to apply the knowledge and experiences that I have gained at Howard University to educate members of the Black community on the importance of health and wellness. My HBCU experience has deepened my awareness of the inequities in Black healthcare and has strengthened my commitment to this field. The space around me has shaped me into someone who not only advocates for myself, but for my community and future generations. My time at Howard University has ultimately solidified my commitment to a lifelong career in healthcare, centered on advocacy, equity, and improving healthcare outcomes for Black communities. I look forward to dedicating my career to becoming a Radiation Therapist and educator, providing guidance and support to individuals facing cancer diagnosis and tumor-related conditions.

Most Memorable Moment:

My most memorable college moments so far have been my first Homecoming and Springfest at Howard University. The sense of community and the welcoming atmosphere was amazing. It truly felt like home. Being surrounded by so many inspiring, accomplished, and uplifting individuals has reaffirmed that I found a place where I belonged.
