My name is Trenton Claypool, a graduate from duPont Manual High School, where I was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and track. My discipline and hard work earned me a track scholarship to Simmons College of Kentucky, where I excelled as a student-athlete. During high school, I was honored to be selected as Mister Freshman and Mister Sophomore, reflecting my leadership and involvement in my school community. I now transferred to Central State University to continue pursuing new academic and athletic opportunities. I am always looking for ways to grow, challenge myself, and become a better student, athlete, and leader while preparing for future success.

I personally had a couple "Claim To Fame" situations my Freshman year at Simmons College of Kentucky. I committed to the school for Track & Field and as one of the first track athletes on scholarship the student population and staff were definitely intrigued. I also ran for Mister Freshman against two of my peers and I honestly didn't want to run but I knew I wanted to be more than an athlete and whatever institution I was attending and joining the Royal Court definitely shaped my outlook on being a college student and is a "Claim to Fame" moment for me.
