Nyla is a sophomore Political Science & Philosophy double major with a Legal Communications minor at Howard University. Hailing from New Jersey, she has a profound commitment to advocacy and justice on a national scale, dedicated to amplifying the voices of marginalized communities as an aspiring constitutional lawyer.

Building on an established record of early leadership, during high school, Nyla successfully lobbied state officials on critical issues, including securing funding for community violence interrupters and advocating for pathways to citizenship. Now she serves as the policy intern to Governor Mikie Sherrill, where she conducts essential policy research and engages with community stakeholders.
