As a Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Intern with the Tuskegee University Cooperative Extension Program in Macon County, I assisted in developing and delivering educational programs that promoted healthy lifestyles, food safety, nutrition, and community wellness. I earned certifications in HACCP and Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) Grower Training, participated in community outreach initiatives including garden restoration, Farm-to-Table programming, and Senior Olympics, and educated residents on accessing fresh produce through local community gardens. My internship strengthened my skills in program planning, public education, community engagement, and Extension outreach while supporting the mission of improving the quality of life for individuals and families.
