Claim To Fame:
College is more than a place to earn a degree. It is an opportunity to grow, build meaningful relationships, and make a positive impact on the people around me. When I think about my "claim to fame" in college, I do not think about being the most popular student or receiving the most recognition. Instead, I hope to be known as someone who works hard, helps others, and never gives up on my goals. As an occupational therapy major, I want to be recognized for my compassion and willingness to support others. I enjoy encouraging people, listening to their needs, and helping them overcome challenges. Whether I am working with classmates on a group project, volunteering in the community, or completing clinical experiences, I want others to know me as someone they can depend on. I also hope to be known for my determination. My educational journey has not always been easy, but every challenge has taught me to keep moving forward. Those experiences have made me stronger, more resilient, and even more committed to achieving my goals. I want my hard work and perseverance to inspire others who may be facing obstacles of their own. Most importantly, I want my legacy in college to be defined by kindness and service. I believe that small acts of encouragement, respect, and compassion can make a lasting difference in someone's life. If people remember me as someone who made others feel supported, valued, and motivated to succeed, I will consider that my greatest accomplishment. That is the kind of impact I hope to leave throughout my college journey and in my future career as an occupational therapist.
Most Memorable Moment:
Looking back on my college journey, I realize that the most memorable moments were not just about earning good grades or completing assignments. They were the experiences that challenged me, helped me grow, and reminded me why I started. Earning my Associate of Arts degree was an important milestone, and the memories I made along the way will stay with me as I continue my education. One of my favorite memories was walking onto campus at the beginning of my first semester. I remember feeling excited, nervous, and unsure of what to expect. As time went on, I became more confident in my abilities and learned that asking questions and staying committed would help me succeed. Another memorable moment was completing difficult assignments and realizing I was capable of more than I had imagined. There were times when balancing school with other responsibilities felt overwhelming, but finishing each class gave me a sense of accomplishment and reminded me that hard work truly pays off. I also enjoyed meeting classmates from different backgrounds and learning from their experiences. Working together on projects, sharing ideas, and encouraging one another through challenging courses made college feel less overwhelming. Those connections showed me the importance of teamwork and reminded me that everyone has a unique story to tell. One of the most meaningful moments was celebrating the completion of my Associate of Arts degree. Walking across the stage and knowing that I had reached an important goal filled me with pride. Seeing my family celebrate with me made the achievement even more special because I knew they had supported and encouraged me throughout my journey. Graduating also gave me confidence in my future. It reminded me that every late night of studying, every challenge, and every obstacle was worth overcoming. Earning my degree was not the end of my educational journey but the beginning of a new chapter as I continue working toward my goal of becoming an occupational therapist. When I think about my college experience, I remember more than the classes I took. I remember the growth, the friendships, the lessons I learned, and the confidence I gained along the way. Those moments have prepared me for the next step in my education and have strengthened my determination to continue learning, serving others, and building a career where I can make a positive difference in people's lives.
