Raven Noel Johnson is a Marketing student at Morgan State University, a member of the Clara I. Adams Honors College, and a Division I Track & Field athlete. She previously served as Miss Freshman and currently serves as Miss Sophomore, using her platform to create opportunities and resources for her peers. Professionally, Raven has gained experience through Octagon�s Career Accelerator Program and her legal internship with Nachawati Law Group. Her interests include sports marketing, NIL, athlete branding, representation, and sports law. She aspires to advocate for athletes and help them build opportunities and lasting brands beyond their sport.

Current Whereabouts:

Sports marketing and athlete branding, NIL, sports law, content creation, pageantry, fashion, Pilates, and finding new ways to grow my personal brand as both an athlete and student leader.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

I aspire to build a career at the intersection of sports marketing, athlete representation, and sports law, helping athletes build their brands, protect their interests, and create opportunities beyond their sport. Personally, I hope to continue using every platform I am given to open doors for others, especially young Black women, while building a life rooted in purpose, leadership, and impact.

Most Memorable Moment:

Earning my first MEAC Track & Field medal in pole vault, and finding a community at Morgan that has allowed me to grow as a student, athlete, and leader.

Selected to participate in Octagon�s Career Accelerator Program, where I gained hands on exposure to the sports and entertainment industry through panels, professional development sessions, networking, and team projects. I learned directly from professionals across NIL, legal, global communications, marketing, and major sporting events. For my final project, I helped develop a comprehensive brand partnership concept between UCLA basketball player Eric Dailey Jr. and Liquid I.V., focusing on athlete branding, social media strategy, product collaboration, campus activations, and digital storytelling. This experience strengthened my interest in sports marketing, athlete representation, NIL, and the legal side of the sports industry.

Legal Intern | Nachawati Law Group

Served as a Legal Intern at Nachawati Law Group, where I gained hands on experience working specifically with Uber rideshare cases within the firm�s mass tort practice. I assisted with reviewing and organizing case information, managing legal documentation, and working with a high volume of cases at different stages of the legal process. This experience allowed me to see firsthand how attorneys build cases, advocate for clients, and manage sensitive matters with accuracy and attention to detail. Working in a fast paced legal environment strengthened my communication, organization, research, and critical thinking skills while also growing my interest in law and how I can eventually apply my legal experience to contracts, NIL, and athlete representation within the sports industry.
