About   (request update)
Computer Science student at Howard University with a concentration in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, pursuing the pre-medical track. I bring experience in student leadership, administrative support, customer service, and event coordination. As a Montgomery College New Student Orientation Leader, I facilitated resource sessions and campus tours for more than 200 incoming students. My experience as a student assistant and barista strengthened my communication, organization, multitasking, and cash-handling skills. I am interested in opportunities that combine technology, service, and community impact.
Current Whereabouts:
I am currently focused on adjusting to Howard University as a transfer student and pursuing Computer Science with a concentration in Biology and a minor in Chemistry on the pre-medical track. I enjoy learning Java and Python, exploring the connection between technology and health care, and getting involved in communities that support women in STEM. Outside of academics, I enjoy photography, volunteering, worship leadership at my church, and spending time serving my community.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My goal is to become a surgeon and provide compassionate care to underserved communities. At Howard University, I am pursuing Computer Science with a concentration in Biology and a minor in Chemistry on the pre-medical track. I hope to combine my interests in medicine and technology to improve surgical care, patient access, and health outcomes. As an Eritrean-American immigrant and transfer student, I also hope to mentor students from underrepresented backgrounds and show them that their goals are achievable.

Howard University class of 2028
Undergrad Major: Computer and Information Science
Claim To Fame:
I am an Eritrean-American transfer student who earned a 3.89 GPA and a 4.00 GPA in my Computer Programming certificate at Montgomery College before transferring to Howard University, my dream school. I have served as an orientation leader for more than 200 incoming students, completed over 270 volunteer hours supporting community book-sale fundraisers, and am pursuing Computer Science with a Biology concentration and Chemistry minor on the pre-medical track. My goal is to connect technology, science, and service to improve health outcomes in underserved communities.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college moment was serving as a New Student Orientation Leader at Montgomery College. I helped welcome more than 200 incoming students, led campus tours and Q&A sessions, and answered questions from students who were often just as nervous and uncertain as I had been when I first started college. Seeing students become more comfortable and excited about their future reminded me how much community and encouragement can shape someone’s college experience. Another unforgettable moment was completing my associate degree in Computer Science and transferring to Howard University, which had been my dream school since coming to the United States from Eritrea. Because of financial barriers, I began at Montgomery College, but I stayed committed to my goals, earned a 3.89 GPA, and continued building toward my future. Reaching Howard made that journey feel real and showed me that beginning somewhere different does not mean giving up on where you want to go.
