Gregory J. Campbell, Sr. is a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. State Department. Currently, he is assigned to American Embassy Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as the Supervisory General Services Officer/First Secretary. He is responsible for overseeing the Embassy’s real estate portfolio, contracting and other internal operations.

He has held a series of positions abroad since joining the State Department in 2005, including serving at American Consulate General Guayaquil, Ecuador as a Consular Officer/Vice Consul, and at American Consulate General Chennai, India as the General Services Officer/Second Secretary.

He began his career in 1995 as Legislative Assistant to a former member of Congress in Washington, DC. In 1996, Mr. Campbell moved to New York to serve as Chief Aide to a member of the New York City Council. For the next eight years, he worked in government relations for two trade associations in the city of New York. He focused on enacting the legislative agendas and budget priorities of the trade association's membership before elected and appointed officials in Washington, DC, New York City and Albany, NY. In addition, Mr. Campbell served as an adjunct professor of management at New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

Mr. Campbell received an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Howard University and a Masters degree in Public Administration from New York University. He is fluent in Spanish and Bahasa Malay. Gregory Campbell is married to Edith Caballero. They have three lovely children, Sofia, Amaya and Gregory Jr.
