Q&A With Alexis Young

What made you choose to attend the HBCU that you are at?
"My cousin went to Morris Brown and he told me about the atmosphere in the AUC. After doing my own research, CAU just seemed to fit me since Morris Brown was having money issues and Spelman said no. LOL!"

About   (request update)
Well, I was born and raised in Adel, Georgia. I am the oldest of four, so I have to be careful what I do because my brother and sisters will call me out on EVERYTHING if they ever found out about something bad that I did. I went to Cook High School, where I met my three best friends LeDora, Robynn, and Adriana. I now attend Clark Atlanta University and I have made more life-long friends. My life has been good so far and it can only get better.
My Interview Question
How motivated are you?
Current Whereabouts:
I currently live in Atlanta, GA at Clark Atlanta University where I stay in Beckwith Hall. MyHotComments.com

Life & Professional Aspirations:
After I finish graduate school, I plan to work with young African-American females who have self-esteem problems. I want to help repair the African-American image by helping the younger generation. I used to think about all the money that I wanted to make, but as I've gotten older, I've realized that the money isn't the important thing. I aspire to be a good role model for my young siblings and other family members because I feel as if that's what our generation is missing - more positive role models. I want to be successful but I don't need to be rich. I want to be comfortable and be able to repay my mother for all the years she took care of me. I know that these things are possible as long as I keep my determination and my faith in the Lord.
