Claim To Fame:
My "Claim to fame" was during my present freshmen year in college, when I performed in the freshmen talent show. All throughout my school years I have been very involved in many activities and I could not help wanting to continue doing so. The talent show was during my first week in college and I wanted to "do something". I love to sing and I have a beautiful voice so that was my way to participate and also make my self known to others. Since then, people have asked me to sing in person for them, perform in campus talent shows, and become a member of their musical groups.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moment in college was when I performed in a statewide talent show a few months ago. I was excited, scared, anxious, worried, and happy all at the same time. The purpose of the talent show was for CEO and record label management executives to find new talent. Matthew Knowles, the manager of Destiny's Child, was there and I really wanted to impress him. Needless to say, afterI began to sing my song I became so nervous I forgot the words. I managed to croon out about two rocky verses of my song and afterwards I just took a seat and mellowed out. I was just glad it was over. Mr. Knowles told me not to worry about my mishap because I did good. I knew none of the labels would be contacting me but at least I took a chance. I simply chalked that moment up to experience and figured perhaps God has a better calling for me.
