Benita Beckles

Benita Beckles holds a bachelor’s degree from Hampton University in Hampton Virginia and a master’s degree from George Washington University in Washington D.C.
She is a retired full Colonel from the Air Force. As a commissioned officer in the military, she served on active duty and in the reserves for 30 years. While in the Air Force she received the Legion of Merit Award, Meritorious Service Medal and the Joint Service Commendation Medal.

She worked in Human Resources in corporate and city government positions throughout her thirty-five year career. Benita Beckles is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

In 2001, Ms. Beckles formed her own company, Potential Plus, which offers a self-published workbook and workshops on personal self-development. Recently, she has developed a Self-Care program for military members and veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD).A thirty year resident of Michigan, she recently relocated to Arizona. She has two sons.
