"I am 63 years young, The picture of me was taken in June of this year, 2008. My wife and I retired to Mexico 14 years ago but had to return to Tucson 7 years ago when our oldest son was in a car accident and is now quadriplegic.
Last year I decided to write a book about our experiences being a Black couple in an All White Community. It was published in June of this year. The title is, "Baja Diaries-Chronicles of a Paradise Lost." It has been selling quite well. I have a marketing website at http://www.bajadiaries.com.
Looking forward, I have two more books in the works. The first one is about our 7 years of care giving for our son Everett. I am hopeful that it will help someone facing a similar situation to ours. I also make references to our youngest son, Edward who was paralyzed by a shot in the back when he was 18 years old. He is paraplegic.
The second book I'm working on is my first Novel. The title is, "The Black and White Murders." The setting is a bedroom community of Memphis, TN, Covington.
These two projects have been delayed because I started a website as a gathering place for the African American CommUNITY of Tucson. From that one website I have helped several people in several other communities to start websites, including San Diego, Stockton, CA and Phoenix, AZ. I developed an explanatory website at, http://www.tucsons-ebonycity.com.
I think that's enough for now, maybe too much.

In 1962 he graduated from Mitchell High School in Memphis, Tennessee. At the time, this was an all Black school. His teachers were really concerned about the welfare and the future of all the students.
George attended undergraduate school at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia in the turbulent 60’s where he was active in the Civil Rights Movement while there. He participated in numerous Civil Rights demonstrations including picketing Lester Maddox’s “Pickrick” restaurant. Mr. Maddox would go on to become a one term Governor of the state of Georgia. At one point the Klan was on one side of the street and the Civil Rights protesters were on the other.
In the summer of 1964 George was in Atlantic City for the Democratic National Convention where Lyndon Johnson was nominated for President. This was after he had taken over for the assassinated John F. Kennedy. He found himself on a picket line outside the convention hall demonstrating to have the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party Delegates seated. One night he found himself arm-in-arm with famed Civil Rights leader Bayard Rustin, singing "We Shall Overcome."
He was also privileged to have had breakfast and conversation with Dr. Martin Luther King, along with a dozen other students. The location of these breakfasts was a student center named the Canterbury House and was sponsored by the Episcopalian Church.
After an Honorable Discharge from military service, George attended San Jose State University and became a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Following his graduation from San Jose State, he attended graduate school at the University of California at Berkeley working towards a degree in Political Science.
After graduating from San Jose State University, George became a Realtor with American Realty in San Jose, Ca. After several years with the American Realty, he and a friend, Frank Morales opened Ram Realtors, PM. After George left the company and moved to Tucson, AZ the company’s name was changed to Ram Realtors FM and still exists today.
George became a Realtor in Tucson after moving there. He was also in the Mortgage business for a while.
He and his wife Tina retired and spent seven years in Baja California Norte, near the town of Ensenada. This book is about those times, good and bad, which they experienced while there.
They currently reside in Tucson, AZ where George is working on two new books.
