Each day, more than 160,000 U.S. students stay home from school to avoid being bullied. According to a recent national survey by DoSomething.org, U.S. students feel that bullying could be reduced in their schools if their schools 1) had new or updated policies on bullying and 2) made sure students were involved in creating and updating those policies. DoSomething.org and its members have launched a national petition urging young people to hold their administrators accountable to these recommendations. By signing and sharing the petition with 5 friends, you will become eligible for a $2,000 scholarship. No minimum GPA. No essay. Just show true leadership by spreading awareness of the issue. You must be no more than 26 years of age and a U.S. or Canadian citizen to be considered for this award.
