Student Financial Education Scholarship

Dollar Amount: Up to $3,000
Deadline: September 20, 2012
Sponsor: Do Something
Award Type: Scholarship Money
Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on 09/07/2012

84% of high school students currently do not receive the basic financial education they need from their schools. DoSomething.org and Discover want to change this. Together, they have launched a national petition urging high school administrators to add financial education to the curriculum and better prepare students for the adult world. Each month DoSomething.org and Discover will award a $3,000 scholarship to a student that has invited 5 friends to sign the petition. No minimum GPA. No essay. Just spread awareness of the issue. You must be no more than 26 years of age and be a U.S. or Canadian citizen to be considered for this award.
