Intel and DoSomething.org have launched a national campaign, Grandparents Gone Wired, to help teach senior citizens how to use the internet. Participants are eligible for the reward by (1) holding a tech teaching session with a senior citizen or (2) spreading awareness about tech literacy. To qualify for the $5,000 scholarship, go to www.dosomething.org/grandparents and share facts about seniors and technology with 6 of your friends OR get materials to teach your grandparents how to use the internet. Either way, you ll be eligible to win the $5,000 scholarship. You must be a legal resident of the United States and be no more than 26 years of age to qualify for this award.
