ASTM Experiential Scholarship Award
Purpose: To be used for expenses to attend industry technical meetings Award Amount: $1,000 USD Qualifying opportunity: ASTM International Committee F24 Meetings | October 16-19, 2024 _____________________________________________________________________________________ Award Criteria: To be eligible for this scholarship you must: • Be currently registered at a historically black college or university (HBCU) • Have a desire to be part of the attractions industry • Have an interest in learning about industry best practices including standards • Be passionate about safety • Be able to attend and be positively impacted by receiving this award • Not be employed by ASTM International or IAAPA Other considerations prior to applying: • Must have the ability and proper pre-approvals to travel during the upcoming meeting time • Must attend the entirety of the meeting • Must be willing to complete a post-event survey and provide a testimonial (i.e. reels/videos) Acknowledgements (initial below): _____ I acknowledge that I have read the award criteria and am completing this application in agreement that I meet these requirements. _____ I am willing to provide a headshot, testimonial, and/or video about the value of my participation in the event and the value of receiving this scholarship. _______________________________________ __________________________ Name (PRINT) Date ______________________________________ Signature ASTM Experiential Scholarship Award Application Form & Submittal In addition to completing this form, please submit the following information along with your submittal: • A recorded 60-second video of yourself describing your aspirations for your career • A basic resume Applications are due Saturday, August 31, 2024.
