Kia “Accelerate the Good” HBCU Scholarship Program

The College Football Hall of Fame, in partnership with Kia America’s “Accelerate the Good” program, is proud to offer the 2026 Kia HBCU Scholarship to support Historically Black College and University (HBCU) students as they pursue higher education and future careers. This scholarship opportunity is designed to help alleviate financial barriers and empower students who are committed to academic excellence, leadership, and impact within their communities.

Each year, the program awards five (5) individual scholarships of $5,000 each to students who are enrolled at, or planning to enroll in, an accredited HBCU for the Fall 2026 semester. This award may be used to help cover tuition, books, fees, or other education-related expenses.

To be eligible, applicants must:
• Be enrolled at, or planning to enroll in, a Historically Black College or University for the Fall 2026 semester.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrate unmet financial need.
• Intend to pursue a major in specified disciplines, including Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Arts, and related fields as outlined in the scholarship application.

Applicants are required to submit a completed scholarship application, a current resume, and a scholarship essay (approximately 500–750 words) that details their academic goals, leadership experiences, career aspirations, and how financial support from this scholarship will support their educational journey. Finalists may be invited to participate in an interview as part of the selection process.

The Kia HBCU Scholarship seeks not only to support students financially but also to uplift future leaders who reflect excellence, resilience, and commitment to making a positive impact within and beyond the HBCU community.

Application Deadline: April 30 (submit all materials through the online form).
