Are there any real black men with RESPECT! Posted on 10-21-2004
BABYJAZZ87

Okay, so I am 17 years old. Ya a youngan, but I can't believe the way the young black men treat us young black women. It seems like the real black men I am lookin for are in outerspace or tookin by another woman of a different race. What's up with that? Are there any real black men left for us black women? Okay, yes I do understand that some black women have no respect for themselves and they do some messed up things but there are some SISTAZ out there that do have respect for themselves, their body and for our black men. So, if anyone got somethin to add on to this, holla back!

There are some out there. But you can't go out looking for them. Let them come to you. Then you will know that they do exist.

Of course there are. The problem is that most of them are not looking, because men like that have no problem finding and keeping a woman. The ones that you're running into are constantly looking for someone. Guess why. I know it's a cliche, but be patient and you will find yours. Holla!

Not to downplay on your maturity, but girl you're young...most of the males that you are surrounded by...definetly not mature. Now I'm not saying that when you reach my age (21) that respectable, good men come in herds, but by that age then tend to have half-maybe 3/4ths the maturity that women have. AGIAN not saying that all young males or all males are just boneheads (cuz some women...better yet girls ain't hitting too high on the maturity scale either...) but its a proven fact that men mature slower than women...especially 17-19 year olds...they DEF haven't reached that special place. So I say like the rest...let the respectable come to you...

girl...at this age...stop worrying about "finding a respectable black man....yadda yaddaa yahhhh" live your life....there is plenty of time for a good black man to come into your life.... i think the problem is...that you are "looking" for this particular 'Man' and the men you are finding are those who dont wanna be found.... do you...get your life str8....enjoy it....
