During the summer I had a required reading thing, for English, and one of the choices of books was Malcolm X's autobiography. After I read that book I had a completely different intake in the way I saw my race and white people. I even had a different intake in the way I saw Malcolm X himself. I think eveyone should read it and get their input on it, I thought it was one of the greatest books I ever read. For some weird reason I could easily relate with it, the reality was too real. Anywayz I'm done, I just wanted to see if you guys have read the book, and what you guys thought about it. Also do you think racism is still apparent today? If you haven't read the book, then you should.
I'm reading it right now and I agree with you 100%, the book is so in depth and you get to see inside the mind of Malcolm its definitely a must read!
I just finished that book a couple weeks ago, it was really good, I especially liked the beginning. Spike Lee did a good job of making it into a movie because in some scenes he quoted word for word, but you still need to read it because some scenes in the movie are different in the book. 8)
