Is it hard to get in Howard?

u might wanna get that up because thats like the minimum gpa for most universities not just HBCUz. hurry up and take that ACT too, better if you took the SAT and got a high score. But its easy to get in some HBCUz, depending on which one, Howard i dont think is that easy...

Howard shouldn't be too hard. They have higher student capacity than some other hbcu's which means alot of room for new people. It's a black school which means they have low"er" expectations for HS SAT scores, gpa's, and work ethic. And they have a lot of money. I got accepted and a full ride with little work and an application sent on the final deadline, but according to them I had a high SAT score which was actually decent according to other schools , so put tha money up for those prep classes. But basically dress your app. up right and make it look like that little bit of extra curricular activity that you had look like a little more than it really was. And also make sure that essay is on point and hopefully you cared enough to get ure gpa high this semester. You might not get too much money from them, but maybe you'll get accepted. Also, don't think that just b/c it's easy to get in that it won't be hard to make it out. Black schools force you to work harder than you ever have and harder than alot of the white schools that probably wouldn't have been as eager to have you.

Howard was my first choice of schools also and I did not have the best gpa. I graduated with a 2.6 I believe. When I applied I wrote a really good essay about how I messed up in high school (academically) but how I had grown from the experience. I believe what helped me was my extra curricular activities and I also called admissions once or twice a week to check the status of my application. Here's a few tips of advice, get your application in as soon as you can! Send a resume! Also the Fine Arts division of the college of arts and sciences is the easiest to get into their gpa requirement is a 2.0. It definetly DOES matter witch school your applying too (arts and sciences, school of B etc.). Howard accepted me with some stipulations they limited me to 13 credit hours first semester so they could monitor my progress. I now have about a 3.5 gpa. You can do it just handle your business and have a little bit of faith! :lol:
