I just got accepted into CAU and im so excited :lol: and ready to go. So if anyone who goes there t can tell me some info about dorms and which one i should stay in and the over all atmosphere i would be really happy. Plus i want to be a cheerleader so if anyone knows about that please help. THANKS!

I know cheer tryouts are in August and this year they have like 20 girls on the team. I went to one of their games last Thurs. It was really fun and the cheer coach is really nice!! My first choice for dorms is Phieffer. I guess that dorm has the biggest rooms. Also it has a fitness center. I heard Merner was the worst but when I went to visit the only dorm I saw was Phieffer so whooo knows.

Hey future Panthers!! You have made a good choice! The whole cheering thing I would advise against it your first year. First year you need to concentrate on your studies cuz college isn't easy. But if you think you can handle it then be my guest, but I strongly advise you not to cheer. as far as CAU, I and many of my peers LOVE IT!!! Most of the people that are doing well love it anyway. But CAU is one of a kind, of course the only University in the AUC and the most exciting!! lol As far as dorms... I stayed in Ware Hall. I think Ware and Bumstead are the better female dorms on campus from what I heard from the rest of my sisters last year. And they have the biggest rooms. Beckwith is the newest co-ed dorm, and this new dorm they're building might be up when yall get here. I THINK it's for freshmen but I'm not sure so don't quote me please. Um as far as sisterhood, it's here, cuz we are predominantly female. But the few men we have here and over at Morehouse and of course around the city you won't miss them (they're all the same anyway). lol I'm kidding! But if you have any further questions about the fabulous CAU I'm pretty sure me or my other peers won't mind answering.

There is a rivalry between all the schools, but once you get here no one really thinks anything about it! Just worry about yourself, not what Spelman or Morehouse is doing!! The rivalry only exists between those petty individuals!!
waddup. Pfeiffer is the best dorm. It is not the biggest dorm but it has the biggest rooms and is close to all ya classes (which is what truly counts). We have a brand new computer lab and study room, along with fitness center. The new dorm they are building are the sophmore suites so don't get crunk...those will be for us next yr :wink: And yes you are correct, Merner is trash. My friend cheers and she likes it. If you do it, i wouldn't advise being involved with anything else. It is extremely time consuming. The atmosphere for you will usually be umm fun i guess lol. Everybody here is str8 up nutts. When it's warm, the promenade is always an interesting place to be entertained. Yes it is true about Spellman and CAU. It's not as bad as what you've heard, but Spellman looks at us as ghetto and hoes (Source; my associate @ Spellman)...We look at them as stuck up. That's very generally speaking. There are people who get along just fine. Durring orientation they'll have Olive Branch which is basically a party with all 3 schools....ours made the whole unity thing worse so don't go from what I say....the class of 2008 is tainted lol. Primarily they do their thing and we do ours. From what i know of there has only been one fight this year between the two schools...but ah wellz, i'm n school to study not to fight.
