Wow today was one of the worst days of my life ... I got my letter back today from Howard and it said the following :
Dear Miss Robinson:
it said what? u didn't get in? :-(
No Jeremy I highly doubt I am getting in because who in their right mind is going to give up their slot to attend this program for the summer ? And secondly I feel so bad right now even if Howard sent me a letter in a few weeks saying I got in I probably wouldnt go =/ ... But Ooh well I guess it wasnt meant to be ... I hope you got into your program at Howard though :-) ....

hun, u should not let sumthin like that discourage u. Yes, the school of pharmacy is quite competitive, but that's just a summer program. That cannot be compared to the experience of being an actual HU student. Your credentials are good enuff to get u into HU. I know becuz yours are very similar to how mine were. Don't throw the race before you've even gotten to the starting mark. If it's in God's will, it will come to past.
I'm going to have to agree. Don't give up on Howard just because you got waitlisted for a summer program. This shouldn't change or diminish the feelings that you have about applying to or attending Howard. If anything, the interest you showed in the summer program might convey to the admissions officers that you are genuinely into Howard and that might help your case if and when you decide to apply HU in your senior year. And be optimistic, somebody might skip out and that may leave you with a spot in the summer program. Have some faith and I hope everything works out for you.

^Thank you so muCh gurL ... everyone has been telling me the same thing and my mom said it was good I at least got on the wait list =] ... I thought about it last nite and I cant give up my intrest in Howard just because I diddnt get into a summer program ... maybe there were alot of seniors who applied ... this is there last summer to be able to participate and I still have next year ... I was looking and the negatives while thinking of "myself" rather than looking at the possible situations of "other" people who may need the program more than I do :-)

^ Thank you too GurL .. I never thought about that ^... Someone may skip out leaving an open slot who knows :-) ... But maybe it wasnt meant for me to attend the program ... God does everyting for a reason and maybe he has other plans for me :-) Thank you guRLs so muCh for allowing me to see all the Positives rather than the Negatives :-)
i feel sorry for your loss and hopefully you will go to Howard...but i gotta kick ya out, site only for approved HU students ya know...cause ya could be going to hampton for all i know ..sorry
