Aight I'm 4rm GA but after I got rejected from Fort Valley last summer I promised myself I would never apply to go to anotha college in GA again. The problem is that I really want to go to Clark. But I have heard some rumors about the school. Like they little to no campus security and that the dorms are horrible. can anyone from Clark please set me strait on these issuses.
Assuming Clark as a private school, probably has more stringent admissions requirements than Ft. Valley; you might want to consider the JUCO or Community College route in order to get into Clark.
Other than that, visit the campus like the aforementioned person stated.
don't take one rejection and just quit. Clark is a wonderful school, and i encourage you to apply ASAP. #1-don't listen to rumors. You shoulda learned that in high school. Everyone has their own perception of things but you need to take the facts then put everything in perspective.
#1-CAU is an HBCU..meaning OLD AS HELL...meaning each building has history
#2-Dorms are not apartments so don't expect to live in luxury
#3-CAU does not have dorms...we have residence halls. There's a difference
#4-Since we have residence halls we have a very active student life that will overshadow the fact that you aren't in luxury. Between the activites put on by the hall council...RA programs....freshman step show...rivalries with other halls...and just being in a room with 100 other black people is fun as hell.
#5-If you are really going to let sum silly **** rumors stop you from going to your dream school then you need to revaluate how much you really want to go to CAU. Learn to investigate things for yourself (that means go visit)...ask students (like me) about tips on fixing up your room.
HOPE TO SEE YOU NEXT YR!
what is the differnece between a residence hall and a dorm because clearly when i looked it up they both had the same definition. Residence hall just seemed like a spruced up word for dorm.
residence hall, dorm who really cares it's where ya live! Anyways CAU is one of the best of the best in the AUC,and we have the more friendly campus (that's the truth). From what I know, we have the better dorms in the AUC-Morehouse dorms lacking hot water, Spelman's dorms lacking air conditioning, we have both of those- ALL YEAR ROUND. But just come for a visit, the visit is what usually get you!!
